Interactivos ’09 Project at Medialab Prado

I recently submitted a proposal to work on an interactive project exploring the propaganda model. It’s a project that’s going to be developed collaboratively, and I’d be very happy to hear ideas, suggestions and to work with people interested.

At the moment, one idea is to use text extracted from newspaper clippings to identify and retrieve related articles from alternative (non-corporate) news sources on the web.

I’d like to hear more ideas though, and I’d be happy to hear what you think would be useful to implement, especially if it can help explain the propaganda model.

A prototype will be developed at Medialab Prado in Madrid, Spain as part of the Interactivos ’09 event, starting 28th January. There’s currently an open call for collaborators if anyone’s interested. A little more on the project is available here, and a list of all projects being developed here.
